Volunteer Services is committed to providing support with enthusiasm and confidentiality to the Grand River Hospital District community and staff.

• Have a block of time to spend serving others
• Enjoy helping people
• Want to help enhance the community's healthcare delivery
• Complete a volunteer application
• Practice confidentiality in all areas regarding all matters
• Have a background check, provided by GRHD at no charge
• Have an annual TB test, provided by GRHD at no charge.
• Adhere to all GRHD policies

To be a GRHD Teen Volunteer you must:

• Have a block of time to spend serving others
• Enjoy helping people
• Want to help enhance the community's healthcare delivery
• Complete a teen volunteer application
• Have parental permission
• Provide three personal references
• Practice confidentiality in all areas regarding all matters
• Have an annual TB test, provided by GRHD at no charge
• Have an adult volunteer over 18 with you at all times, if under the age of 12
• Adhere to all GRHD policies

Some positions involve lifting and walking while others involve sitting and standing.

Hours are flexible, depending on duties and needs. Some positions require as little as 1-2 hours per week, while others may be several hours per day. We will work with you so that your volunteer time conveniently fits your schedule.
