Grand River Hospital and Medical Center opens expansion in Rifle

Grand River Hospital District is proud to announce the opening of their expansion project in Rifle. The building will be open to the public starting Monday, June 29, 2009.

The new addition to Grand River Hospital and Medical Center’s campus houses the Physical Therapy Department, which has not only grown in size but supplemented their services with an aqua therapy pool. Grand River Primary Care has also moved into the second floor of the new building and boasts many more exams rooms to better serve their patients. Also in the expansion are conference and meeting rooms.

Grand River Hospital and Medical Center’s campus is located at 501 Airport Road in Rifle. The expansion is at the south entry of the campus and can be reached by turning south on Megan Ave from Airport Road. If patients have an appointment with Physical Therapy, Family Health, Internal Medicine, or Women’s Health, they will park in the south parking lot and use the new entrance into the expansion. If they are visiting the Emergency Department, Radiology, Cardiopulmonary, patient rooms, or Specialty Care, they will park in the original north parking lot. Specialty Care will be available to patients where Grand River Primary Care was previously located. The After Hours Clinic, which is open Friday evening-Sunday, will remain in that area as well. There are new directional signs to help visitors find their destination and visitors are encouraged to look carefully to make sure they park in the right area and enter the correct building.
